Lynn Wheelwright

The world’s renowned expert and experienced collector of primitive vintage electric guitars.

Lynn has always been fascinated with the guitar, especially the craft of building the instrument.

After performing as a teenager, he developed many of his luthier skills from repairing guitars in his own shop.

After befriending Alvino Rey in the 1980s and repairing several of Mr. Rey’s instruments, Lynn began studying the history of vintage guitars.

In recent years he has provided lectures and written articles about vintage guitars all the while researching all he can about the history of the guitar.

Nacho Baños

Author of the Blackguard book, CEO of Nachoguitars. A passionate and dedicated scholar of vintage guitars in general and 1950s Fenders in particular.

Ignacio (Nacho) has been passionate about music and guitars ever since he was a little kid growing up in Valencia, Spain.

He has played in different bands and went to school in the US, where he further developed his passion for vintage electrics.

In 2005 he published the Blackguard book.

In recent years he has produced his own line of Nachoguitars, a complete range of pre-aged instruments which pay homage to the most legendary vintage examples of the early 1950s and 1960s.

Billy F. Gibbons

The Art-Work author of the book

The hand-drawn water color renderings of Billy F. Gibbons capture from a unique artistic perspective the evolution of the first mass-produced solidbody electric guitars.
